It has a name. "The watcher" names no machine, reads as a role rather than
something to run, and in an alert it identified neither end of the connection
the alert was about.
The generic uses are reworded rather than renamed: "a fleet of watchers" is now
a fleet of dejima-guards, and the places describing what any guard does say
guard. What is renamed is every place the program was being referred to as
though "the watcher" were its name.
A test holds it, excluding the one assertion that quotes the old wording on
purpose.
